Quality Controller – Be the Standard Others Aim For

AUDI | VW | BMW | MERCEDES | SKODA | SEAT | MINI | CUPRA

Are you a meticulous automotive professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for getting things right? Do you believe quality is about more than ticking boxes — it’s about pride, consistency, and integrity? If so, this could be the ideal next step in your career.

We are a thriving, established and highly respected independent German vehicle service centre known for delivering exceptional workmanship and customer experience. Our customers trust us with vehicles they truly care about — and they expect us to treat them with the same level of care and professionalism.

That’s where you come in.

As our dedicated Quality Controller, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining our high standards — ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop safe, sound, and fully sorted. You’ll be the final checkpoint, the technical conscience of the workshop, and a key part of the team that keeps our reputation rock solid.

What You’ll Be Doing:

🔍 Carrying out final quality checks on all completed work — from servicing and repairs to diagnostics and complex mechanical jobs.

🛠 Verifying that all parts have been correctly fitted and all work completed to manufacturer-level standards.

🧾 Reviewing job cards and technician notes to ensure accurate completion and clear documentation.

📞 Liaising with technicians and service advisors to resolve queries, spot inconsistencies, and ensure nothing is missed.

🎯 Supporting right-first-time outcomes by catching small issues before they become big ones.

🚗 Conducting test drives (where appropriate) to verify vehicle performance post-repair.

📈 Feeding back into continuous improvement — helping identify training needs, process improvements, or patterns in faults.

💬 Acting as a quality ambassador across the workshop — upholding standards and fostering pride in our collective work.

What We’re Looking For:

✔ At least 5 years’ experience in a hands-on technician, master tech, or workshop controller role — ideally in a premium-brand or independent German specialist environment.

✔ A sharp, methodical mindset and strong attention to detail.

✔ Technical competency across all major vehicle systems: mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic.

✔ Excellent communication skills — able to discuss technical matters with clarity and professionalism.

✔ Natural problem-solver who takes ownership and pride in finding the right solution.

✔ Highly organised, able to manage a steady workflow of checks without cutting corners.

✔ Calm, collaborative, and focused — even in a fast-paced workshop setting.

Why Work With Us?

✨ A genuinely professional environment — where quality is never compromised.

🛠 Work with skilled technicians, premium equipment, and strong internal processes.

📈 Play a key role in a growing, forward-thinking business where your standards shape our future.

👊 A down-to-earth, collaborative team that has each other’s backs.

🏖 33 days holiday (including 8 Bank Holidays) + Christmas shutdown.

💰 Competitive basic salary of £30000 + performance bonus (OTE c. £36,000+).

🧓 Company pension scheme.

🎅 Workshop closes for the Christmas period so you can switch off and return refreshed.
