Your Mercedes Benz gearbox is a very sophisticated piece of engineering that needs to be looked after with regular oil changes. The smooth 2-clutch system is computer controlled with very fine engineering tolerances. If the gearbox oil is dirty, it will damage other parts and affect performance.

Dirty oil can overheat the gearbox or cause the gearbox to burn out. This will lead to poor gear selection, loss of drive and transmission failure.

Non-AMG Models : Your Mercedes Benz automatic gearbox oil and filter should be replaced every 62000 miles (100000km) or 5 Years [whichever is the soonest].

AMG Models : Your AMG Mercedes Benz automatic gearbox oil and filter should be replaced every 31000 miles (50000km) or 5 Years [whichever is the soonest].

These 7 Speed DCT gearboxes have two filters that require replacing during the gearbox oil service, one internal and another one external mounted.

Our price includes the replacement of BOTH filters as per Mercedes-Benz service schedules.

What happens when we perform an automatic gearbox oil & filter replacement?

During an automatic gearbox oil & filter replacement, we check the gearbox and look for any leaks. We drain the gearbox completely and replace the oil filter(s) before filling it with high-quality gearbox oil that meets manufacturer standards.

Remember - Our prices are fully transparent and already include replacement of BOTH gearbox filters.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your gearbox must be cold when we performed this procedure which normally takes two hours. As a result the vehicle must be left to cool in our car park for several hours before we begin. We would require the vehicle for a total of 8 hours. You're more than welcome to drop the vehicle off with us the day before if you wish.
