Audi Timing Belt (& Optional Water Pump) Replacement - Diesel Engines (Longitudinal)

AUDI TIMING BELT & OPTIONAL WATER PUMP REPLACEMENT - DIESEL ENGINES

When it comes to car maintenance, the all important timing belt/cambelt replacement is without doubt the most crucial serviceable components of your car’s engine. The timing belt/cambelt has an incredibly important job controlling the camshafts in the engine and keeps it running smoothly, if left unchanged and it breaks, it can seriously lighten your wallet.

Most Audi engines have timing belt/cambelt replacement intervals between every 60,000 to 80,000 miles or 4 to 5 years [dependent on engine type]. Your service book or digital history should state the correct details.

Its vital that you replace your timing belt/cambelt as going over the manufacturers’ recommendation can lead to a slipped or snapped belt. In many cases this requires a new engine or engine build costing hundreds if not thousands of pounds.

Additionally, 95% of these Volkswagen/Audi Group engines have water pumps that are driven via the timing belt/cambelt. Its prudent and cost effective to replace the water pump during the extensive work of replacing the timing belt/cambelt.

NOTE: All Volkswagen Group diesel engines from 2015 onwards have a newer electronically governed type water pump which is still incorporated into the timing belt mechanism.

Our specialist team know your Audi engine inside out. If you've chosen to have your water pump replaced too, we only use Volkswagen/Audi Group approved G12 or G13 coolant/antifreeze during the replacement to ensure your engine is fully compliant with factory specification.

Remember - Our prices are fully transparent and if you've opted to include the water pump replacement then we always use the correct G12 or G13 coolant/antifreeze.
